How important is it for couples to keep the “sexy” in their relationship? It’s absolutely, positively one of the most important ingredients to keep the heat and spice in your love life! When we take the sexy out of our relationship, it feels cold and we stop having fun. BORING!!! We know what happens after that…
- We start bickering about things not worth one cent of our energy.
- We loose affinity and do not even want to be around our partner.
- We may even get tempted to look around outside of our relationship to find fun and sexy. Uh-oh!
These actions are not sexy at all 🙁
As a love coach and relationship therapist, I am not encouraging any of these 3 activities above. Because, I know for certain that these can cause marriages and partnerships to fall out of love. To the contrary, this is why I want to emphasize that you do everything in your power to keep the sexy in your relationship. Men and women, surely you do have a lot of POWER 😉
People have differences in what they believe to be sexually attractive. These can be intellectual, emotional or spiritual. Sexy also has everything to do with our five physical senses—sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste. If you want to keep it sexy in your relationship, here are some tips!
Human beings are visual creatures. What we see plays an essential role in attraction. Things such as a nice view or a romantic bedroom lighting can make a huge difference.
The sense of smell is the most powerful sense of human beings, but many people do not know it. For instance, a great perfume is able to trigger the mind and the body instantly. Smells such as cinnamon or vanilla also have a sexual flavor and scent to them.
Many people do not realize how much their sense of hearing influences their relationship. Music, for instance, can determine the mood or contribute to a sexy environment.
Research has proven that touch is able to increase the human brain’s response to a particular emotional situation. Physical touch plays a huge role in keeping the spark alive in a relationship. It is an art that is stronger than verbal contact. Aside from physical touch, certain fabrics can also be sexy, such as satin and silk.
We can’t forget about our sense of taste. Though you may have specific aphrodisiacs that please your palette, did you know that simply eating together can be a very sensual experience? There are certain foods that could improve your sexual health, such as peaches or a slice of watermelon!
These are just some of the simple ways our sensory experiences affect our relationships.
Even couples who have been together for 40 or 50 years make an effort to keep it sexy. So if you find it difficult to maintain sexiness in your relationship, try these tips and techniques. These will require a little effort from you and your partner, but the results will be worth it. It all depends on what arouses your partner. Don’t be afraid to ask them what gives them pleasure. The best advice comes from the source!
